I love the DIY stuff, the food, their fashion, their store, their vintageness, everything about these girls is so cool. So when I found out they were creating an app I knew it had to be good! They created a photo editing app that allows you to add doodles, borders, phrases, words, and filters. It just makes your pictures so much more fun! I love being able to make my pictures have fun little things on them. So I am telling you that you should totally download the app a beautiful mess! Here are some examples of what it can do!

Turned 31 last week! He is pretty much a babe at age 31 in my opinion!

This year we got to spend his birthday with his family which hasn’t happened in awhile since they live in Oklahoma. He was down there already for work and I took a few days off and flew down to celebrate with them all. We spent the weekend doing what he wanted to do, enjoy the rest, the weather, and his new birthday present to himself this:

This was going to be Anna’s first half, my 3rd half, and Sheri’s like 1oth or something crazy like that. Since Sheri and I have done a few of these we decided to step our game up and do the heartland series which includes 3 half marathons in 5 weeks.  So last weekend was Anna’s first ever half and it was 1 of 3 of Sheri and I’s for the season. We all did our very best and crossed the finish line relieved to be done! All of us got personal records and were so happy with how we did!

Running is a stress reliever, a relaxer, something to keep me healthy and motivated. I really enjoy running and I think it will always be part of my life now that it has played such a big part in my life the last few years. I am so thankful for the health, ability, and time to be able to train and be a part of such a life giving thing for me.

Sheri and I finished our 2nd half marathon on Sunday morning and this time were VERY relieved to have finished as it was much more difficult, hilly, windy, and exhausting than our first one.

As runners all around America were rocked by the tragedy in Boston I ran this race with a heavy heart knowing some will never be able to do this again. As I run this verse just plays through my head time after time:

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of god. Hebrew 12:1-2

As I often get obsessed with the training and the competition of the running thing, I remember the real race I’m running really has nothing to do with my feet or legs but mostly with my heart!
